Suppose you have a friend at work who collects ceramic frogs. You know this because she’s shown you photos of her collection and she’s always looking for unusual ceramic frogs online during her break. It’s just her thing.
One day, after lunch, you’re waiting for the elevator and she runs up to you. “Look what I just bought!” she exclaims with a giant smile across her face and holds out a little blue ceramic frog for you to witness.
Now, you’re not a ceramic frog person. It’s not your thing, but you can’t help from being elevated by the loads of positive loving energy beaming from her, and you break into a big smile. She is absolutely and undeniably in love with this little blue ceramic frog, and you are happy to bathe in her ceramic-frog love.
In fact, she is beaming love so strongly that another woman who is waiting for the elevator, who doesn’t know either of you, and most likely doesn’t own a ceramic frog, is smiling. It’s almost impossible for her to not be affected by your friend’s radiant energy.
So what the hell? How could an object, so seemingly insignificant, cause such a wonderful reaction? It’s because your friend is completely tapped into her heart when she holds, or views, or even thinks of ceramic frogs.
We don’t need to know why she loves ceramic frogs. We just need to know that when she’s in her ceramic-frog love, she changes the world. She makes people smile. She spreads the love. She shows everyone around her that being “in love” is what it’s all about. It doesn’t matter what she’s in love with or why.
Let’s look at who benefited from that exchange with your friend. Certainly you and the other lady did. Obviously, your friend did. You can imagine that her higher self was in that love flow as well and that her soul got a big piece of that love too.
Her spirit guides and guardian angel must have been beaming along with her also. Most likely, they help her find the frogs. They probably give her little nudges in the direction of the next wonderful frog-find so she can get excited all over again.
Time and time again I have heard the message that, Spirit, God, the Universe wants us to always be in this state. Spirit wants us to search for our next ceramic frog. It wants us to find it and then go find another, spreading love all the while. It wants us to be searchers of what we will love next, to be explorers led by our hearts, led by our desire. These loving explorations of desire are what truly expand the Universe.
This is serious shit. Your search and discovery of the most seemingly ridiculous thing may actually be the most important thing, the thing that causes you to radiate love in the world.
So, what’s your ceramic frog? What gets you excited? If you don’t already know, can you see how important it is that you find out? And if you know what it is, are you enjoying it? Are you looking for the next one?
