Some of you may find this a bit disturbing, but I’m going to tell you about the darkest entity Janet and I have experienced. We remotely checked in ahead of time and knew this entity was on the extreme end of what we choose to deal with. I’ve since named him Dunce Cap Demon.
Janet and I arrived at a small Atlanta home expecting to take our usual preliminary walk-through, sensing subtle energy shifts to get a feel for the place, but it quickly became clear that wasn’t necessary. With each step we took away from the door, the energy became denser and denser. There was nothing subtle about this. We were drawn to the furthest corner of the back room where the air felt so thick that it weighed on our skin. There was a strange odor and the hair on the back of my neck stood up. This was the most creeped out I’ve ever been while standing in a sun lit room.
While I walked around the area I asked, in my mind, “What is this thick dark energy? What are you?” By doing so, I was letting the entity use my mind as a canvas to paint a self-portrait, to represent himself as he wished. That may seem like a dangerous idea, but by allowing him to only show an image of himself, I was creating boundaries with him. In contrast, if I had wondered, “What are you capable of?” I would have been empowering him to screw with me.
Moments later, I was walking past an armoire when this 8 foot tall figure appeared in front of it. He had yellow eyes and green skin and was wearing a dunce cap and a matching clown-like shirt and pants. Everything was green like his skin, but the most shocking thing was his huge smiling mouth. It was at least a foot wide and full of 6-inch long pointy teeth.
He loomed over me, arms tight against his side, motionless except for his breathing. I’m sure he knew that standing still would add a special creep factor of 10, and it did, but I kept my fear in check.
Fear is what gives negative beings power and Dunce Cap Demon had been thriving off it for more than a hundred years. More recently, he had been harvesting fear by showing himself in various forms to the new family. Janet and I believe that, had that fear gone unchecked for much longer, this dude’s energy would have become so dense that he would be able to manipulate physical objects.
As we began clearing the house, I “listened” for him, which is another way of saying I invited him to talk to me in my mind. He immediately seized the opportunity and shouted directly in my left ear, “GET THE FUCK OUT!!!” Once again, he had surprised me, but I took this as a good sign that he felt very threatened and was trying this last ditch effort to scare us.
It wasn’t easy to clear Dunce Cap Demon because, as is often the case, his energy was connected to the land, which had experienced a tragedy hundreds of years ago. At this point, I was still a newbie, but I pitched in to help Janet succeed with the task as she ushered in angels and loving light. Dunce Cap Demon did not go willingly, but he went, and with him went that awful thick dark air. We could breathe comfortably again.
Within a week, we received a wonderful update from our clients. They reported that the house felt great and everyone was sleeping soundly. They hadn’t seen any creepy figures since we left.
